Cocoa bean is the dried and fully fermented fatty seed of Theobroma cacao, from which cocoa solids and cocoa butter are extracted. Cocoa products are the basic ingredients for chocolate confectionery and the flavoring of many other food products such as biscuits, cakes, ice cream and beverages.
Cocoa beans are native to South America. However, today the global trade is dominated by production in African and Asian Continent. Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria together account for over 40% of world production and and serving as a backbone to Ivorian economy. Leveraging its strong local presence in both these sourcing markets and experience in future markets give us the advantage in this highly volatile environment.
